These rules are being constantly updated. If you have any suggestions to add, or comments to make, please send an e-mail to info@mefreeforall.org with "M.E. Letters Online Group" in the subject line.
The aim of M.E. Letters is to increase awareness of M.E. amongst the general public by sending more letters to newspapers and magazines.
We also post Open and Campaigning Letters sent to individuals and organisations, with any replies they receive.
The more people who respond to every news item or letter, the greater the chance of at least one being published.
Members may, of course, express any opinion in the letters they send.
We do not discuss any issues here. That is for other groups.

In summary: A contributor posts a LETTERS ALERT with full details of title, source, date and contact e-mail address. As many members as can manage at this time respond with a LETTER SUBMITTED. All members may use any submitted letters for ideas and thems to write their own. In addition, members may offer ideas, even whole letters, in a posting prefixed, LETTERS POOL. PUBLISHED LETTERS can be posted here. There may be subsequent responses to these. We also post TIPS and there is HELP OFFERED/WANTED, especially for new writers and anything that helps the letters count.
All members agree that: Letters, whether published elsewhere, are posted on our website, ME Free For All.org/Letters and may be forwarded, re-posted and used by any individuals or groups online, who wish to take them and in paper version newsletters, without it being necessary to check for our permission, which is assumed.
Membership is by request, or invitation. We suggest that members recommend people who are likely to approve of the ethos of this group and be good letter writers - the more prolific the better.
There will be no moderation of any content of letters but any discussion of any issue here will be deleted and directed to other groups where it is welcome. We hope that it will be such a good-tempered group that full concentration will be on the principal aim of writing those letters.
